Sir Ken Robinson outlines 3 principles crucial for the human mind to flourish — and how current education culture works against them. 1. I wouldn’t recommend that he gives the same talk to American conservatives; unless, of course, he wears body armor.

  2. To sum up his powerful message: seek to inspire rather than intimidate, to guide instead of to control, to support and not stifle.

  3. Just found this talk, what a revelation by Sir Ken. He has simplified the message to encourage learning and release that creativity that all children have. Sad to hear he passed a couple of years ago – so much to give the “learners” of the world, wherever they are.

  4. I just decided that school in my house will be a few days of week. I won’t mandate it every day. At least one day a week we will just chill and learn through nature or what interesting thing we can do in a day. Then eventually just stop. My son hates school and I’m tired of forcing him in a system that is not encouraging him to want to learn and grow.
